DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERMINOLOGICAL BASIS OF THE MECHANISM OF INTERACTION OF CUSTOMS BODIES AND PARTICIPANTS OF FOREIGNECONOMIC ACTIVITY IN THE CONDITIONS OF FORMING A DIGITAL ECONOMY

The study of this article is directed to developing a terminological basis for the mechanism of interaction between customs authorities and traders in the conditions of the digital economy. To achieve the stated results, scientific approaches to the definition of the term “interaction mechanism” in the customs business and the analysis of international data on the terminology “digital economy” are necessary. After analyzing the scientific approaches, the author suggests defining the terms “mechanism of interaction between customs authorities and participants of foreign economic activity” and “digital economy”. The term “mechanism of interaction between customs authorities and participants of foreign economic activity” should be understood like “the process during which there is an orderly exchange of information using technologies and customs procedures and customs control”. A key distinguishing feature is the using of digital technology. Digital economy is an economic activity that uses digital technologies to process large amounts of information, conduct forecasting based on the data, optimize business processes in order to improve the efficiency of business models related to the production, distribution, exchange and consumption of goods and services”. The fundamental result is the development of a terminological apparatus, including the terms “mechanism of interaction between customs authorities and participants of foreign economic activity” and “digital economy”.
