Research involving humans and animals


Research involving humans and/or animals is only considered if it complies with the law and international ethical standards. For work involving humans, authors must indicate the approval of the ethics committee (number, date, organization) or justify its inapplicability; Interventional studies must be registered before the first participant is included (registry and identifier). Informed consent is mandatory; for minors, the consent of legal representatives is required. The publication of identifying photos, videos, and clinical details is only possible with separate consent. Confidentiality is ensured by depersonalization/pseudonymization and compliance with data protection requirements. Animal studies require the approval of the relevant committee and compliance with the 3R principles (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement); The article briefly describes the conditions of maintenance, anesthesia/analgesia, and humane endpoints; exceptions are only permissible with strict scientific justification and prior agreement. The manuscript specifies the species/line, sex, age, number of animals, and key design elements.
